Customer assurance and audit evidence
Customers and auditors rarely need every internal scan detail. They need a defensible answer to three questions: what was assessed, when was it assessed, and what did you do with the result?
ZeroQuarry separates the internal working record from the artifact you provide to a specific audience.
Build evidence continuously
Evidence is strongest when it is a by-product of the operating process:
- projects preserve product and service history
- scan lineages preserve versions and retests
- finding states record validation, dispute, mitigation, regression, accepted risk, and archive decisions
- the audit log records analysis runs, models, actors, outcomes, and reasons
- reports preserve targets, findings, coverage notes, and review context
Do not wait for an audit request to reconstruct this history from tickets and chat messages.
Choose the narrowest artifact
| Request | Best starting artifact |
|---|---|
| “Show recent testing for these systems” | Evidence Room combined PDF for selected targets |
| “Explain this vulnerability and its status” | Secure share containing only the relevant findings |
| “Provide the full assessment record” | Filtered report export |
| “Show how an external issue was handled” | Disclosure record and timeline |
| “Show that a fix was verified” | Original report, later scan version, and retest lifecycle event |
Start narrow and expand only when the recipient has a legitimate need.
Prepare an asset evidence pack
- Open Account > Evidence Room.
- Filter by project or target type.
- Review the latest report and finding counts for each asset.
- Select only the targets in scope for the request.
- Download the combined PDF. The export uses the latest available report for each selected target and applies the account's report branding and disclaimer settings.
- Review the PDF before delivery, especially high and critical findings and any content that exposes sensitive implementation detail.
Read Evidence Room for selection and freshness details.
Share findings without sharing the workspace
When a customer, auditor, or partner needs a small set of findings:
- Select the finding or findings from the report.
- Create a share for the named recipient.
- Choose delivery by ZeroQuarry email or create the link only.
- Use an auto-generated passphrase or set a strong custom password.
- Set the shortest useful expiry.
- Send the password through a separate channel when your process requires it.
- Monitor views and revoke the share when the review ends.
Recipients get a read-only view of only the selected findings. They do not get the rest of the scan or account. Read Secure sharing.
Review before anything leaves the workspace
- remove low-confidence or rejected material that is not relevant
- confirm findings have a current lifecycle decision
- check that source paths, credentials, notes, and authentication context are appropriate for the audience
- describe accepted risk as a business decision with scope and expiry, not as a claim that the issue does not exist
- include a retest or current assessment date where the recipient may otherwise assume the evidence is evergreen
The Evidence Room is an evidence packaging surface, not an automatic assertion of compliance or product security.
